Construite
vers 1732, cette magnifique maison constitue l'un des joyaux hérités
du régime français. C'est la plus vieille maison de Pointe-aux-Trembles.
Ce bâtiment appartient à l'architecture traditionnelle
québécoise. La galerie a été ajoutée
vers les années 1820-1830. En 1979, la maison fut proclamée
monument historique par le ministère des Affaires culturelles
du Québec. La Ville de Montréal a acquis la maison et
le terrain en 1983. Restaurée de 1996 à 1997, elle est
utilisée depuis comme lieu de diffusion culturelle.

Built
around 1732, this magnificent home is one of the jewels inherited from
the French Regime. It is the oldest house in Pointe-aux-Trembles. The
building belongs to traditional Quebecois architecture. The gallery
was added around 1820-1830. In 1979 the house was proclaimed an historic
monument by the Minister of Cultural Affairs of Quebec. The City of
Montreal acquired the building and the land in 1983. Restored in 1996-1997
it is now a center for culture and the arts.
